Our Love Story
Carlita and I first met at my job as an Employment and Training Facilitator while she participated in a six-week workshop I facilitated. When I first saw her on the first day of the workshop, it was love at first sight! I understood that during that time she was going through a difficult period in her life, and she was not looking or ready for a relationship, so I respected her situation and hid my feelings for her. Not too long after completing the workshop, Carlita was hired at my job site and from that point on we developed a wholesome and loyal friendship that grew stronger as each day passed until we became the best of friends. However, it was unquestionable that I still had feelings for her that went beyond just being friends.
After a year of friendship, I would always joke and indirectly hint the feelings I had for her. One day a night out was planned by co-workers who coincidentally did not show up, so it was just Carlita and I that night. We stuck to the plan and had a great time, joking around, singing karaoke and having a few drinks, not knowing that when the night ended and we headed out to our respective homes, it would be the beginning of our blessed relationship. Since that night, despite our ups and downs, we have worked hard to rid our unhealthy pride because we are certain that our souls are destined to be united. As we diligently continue to work towards God’s plan, he guides us in polishing our love, affection, friendship, support and everything that is needed to continue being an ideal couple. I am truly grateful that God has blessed us enormously and has worked wonders during our nine years together and continues to guide our path forward. We are extremely blessed to be the true love of our lives.
NUESTRA HISTORIA
Henry y yo nos conocimos por medio de su trabajo. El era el facilitador de un taller de trabajo en el cual yo participé por seis semanas. Henry me ha dicho que desde el momento en que me vio por primera vez sintió amor a primera vista. Yo me encontraba pasando por momentos díficiles y no buscaba una relación asi que para mi pasó desapercibido. Al poco tiempo conseguí un empleo en su lugar de trabajo y a partir de ahí, se fue dando una amistad cada vez mas profunda hasta que nos convertimos en los mejores amigos aunque era indiscutible que mis sentimientos hacia el ya iban mucho más allá de una linda amistad.
Asi se pasó un año entre bromas e indirectas hasta que un día planeamos una salida con amigos del trabajo, al que casualmente nadie asistió asi que solamente eramos él y yo. Pese a eso, decidimos pasarla bien. Cantamos unas canciones y nos tomamos unos tragos, sin imaginarnos que ese día daría comienzo a nuestra bendita historia de amor. Desde entonces, a pesar de los altibajos, hemos trabajado seriamente en deshacernos de nuestro orgullo, porque tenemos la certeza de que nuestras almas estan destinadas a estar unidas. Somos tan afortunados de que nuestras almas se entiendan a la perfección y de haber encontrado por fin todo el amor, cariño, amistad, apoyo, y todo lo que se necesita de una pareja ideal el uno en el otro. Me siento eternamente agradecida con Dios por todas las bendiciones y todas las cosas maravillosas que ha hecho en nuestras vidas en nuestros nueve años juntos. El nos ha mostrado el camino a seguir y continua guiando nuestro camino. Es una gran bendicion estár con el verdadero amor de nuestras vidas.
